    How to use it

    1. Type everyone’s name, one per line. Under Couples and exclusions, pair up people who should not draw each other.
    2. Add a budget, a date and a message if you like, then press Draw names.
    3. Send each person their own link by WhatsApp, Messenger or text message. Opening it reveals only who they are buying a present for.

    No email, no account, no app

    Most Secret Santa sites ask for everyone’s email address. Here each person’s match is written inside their link instead, so all you need is a chat app. Nothing is sent to our servers and there is nothing to sign up for.

    Couples and other exclusions

    Partners usually buy each other presents anyway, so they should not draw each other. Add them under Couples and exclusions and the draw keeps them apart, while making sure that nobody draws their own name. If the exclusions leave no possible draw, the page tells you.

    Can the organizer see the matches?

    Not unless they want to. The list of links shows only names, so the organizer can take part without spoiling the surprise. If someone loses track, Show all pairs reveals the full list, but only when you open it on purpose. The links are not encrypted, so send each one privately.

    Questions and answers

    Does it work for friends and family who live far apart?

    Yes. Everyone gets their link in a chat and opens it on their phone. The match, the budget and the date travel inside the link, so it works from anywhere.

    What if someone opens the wrong link?

    Each link greets its owner by name before showing anything, so a mix-up is easy to notice before the present is opened. If it happens anyway, press Draw again and send the new links.

    How many people can take part?

    From 3 to 100 people. In small groups with many exclusions a draw can become impossible, and the page tells you when that happens.

    Can I resend a link later?

    Yes. The last draw stays in this browser, so you can come back and copy a link again. Drawing again creates new links, and the old ones no longer match.
